BRIXHAM YACHT CLUB - Founded in 1937, The Brixham Yacht Club is recognised as one of the premier clubs on the South coast of England, as it continues to grow in both membership and stature.

TORBAY SEA SCHOOL - We are a friendly and professional RYA training centre

estuaries such as Dartmouth and Salcombe. The coastline

TRADITIONAL BOAT BUILDER - I am based in Strete, which is conveniently between Salcombe and Dartmouth.I specialise in new builds but I am happy to make repairs and re-furbish traditional boats.This winter I have been building a 14 foot clinker Net boat that I plan to launch in June.I also have a Salcombe Yawl I built last year to finish. I hope to have her on the start line for the May bank holiday open meeting.
ROUND BRITAIN CHALLENGE - ROUND BRITAIN is a 1600 mile adventure, departing from Brixham marina in May 2008 with a planned 23 ports of call over 8 weeks. An old adage says 'any port in a storm' and so the schedule may need to be varied to accommodate the British weather. BRIXHAM HERITAGE FLEET - Brixham, a fishing port in Devon on England’s South West coast, was once home to one of the world’s largest fleets of wooden sailing trawlers. Indeed 'beam trawling' was developed there. Between the 1880s and 1920s over 300 of the graceful old ships were built in the town’s shipyards. Today only a few remain, six of them forming Brixham’s heritage fleet.
